DESCRIPTION:About\nSet along the stunning shores of Loch Ryan in southwest Scotland\, Lochryan Estate spans approximately 2\,000 acres of breathtaking and varied terrain. The shoot is proud of its commitment to traditional driven shooting\, offering exceptional sport for guns of all abilities. \nFrom open fields where birds are driven in full view from the hilltops\, to exhilarating snap shooting in the deep glens with birds sweeping down from natural woodland\, each drive provides a unique and memorable experience shaped entirely by the landscape. \nLochryan has been a successful and well-regarded shoot for over 30 years\, originally managed by my father. Having lived on the estate for most of my life and now working here full-time\, I was delighted to take on the shoot following the retirement of the previous agent. We remain a truly traditional shoot\, birds are hand-fed\, no cover crops are used\, and all drives are created from the estate’s natural surroundings\, something many visiting teams greatly appreciate. \nA Day at Lochryan\n\n8:45am – Arrival at the shoot lodge for coffee\, a safety briefing\, and peg draw\n9:30am – Depart for the first drive\n\nThe morning typically includes two or three drives\, followed by elevenses taken in the field. These can feature local oysters\, enjoyed while overlooking the very loch they are harvested from\, a highlight for many guests. \nDepending on the weather and timing\, we may pause for a relaxed sit-down lunch in the lodge (homemade soup and rolls)\, or continue shooting and dine later in the day. \nA full day usually consists of five to six drives\, featuring both pheasant and partridge\, with plenty of refreshments including fizz and gin\, enjoyed throughout. \nWe round off the day back at the shoot lodge with drinks\, cakes\, and a chance to reflect on a fantastic day’s sport. \nNon shotgun licence holders are welcome as this is shared pegs

DESCRIPTION:The Country Girls UK are back for their 5th Year with the very popular Christmas Flush Event at Barbury Shooting Ground \nAbout \nOur Christmas half-day is based at Barbury Shooting School. The day starts with Bacon Rolls and Coffee in the Clubhouse\, before being put in groups and heading out onto the ground to shoot a variety of Flushes & Flurries. This will be a fun\, chilled morning. Christmas jumpers are highly recommended! This day is perfect for experienced shooters but also perfect for those looking to step up to sim days next year! (you’ll be shooting around 150-200 cartridges) Guns and safety equipment can be provided. There is an optional Christmas lunch at a local pub after shooting. \nThis is also a great chance to meet Kirsten Smith\, our Regional Ambassador for the South\, and chat about exciting upcoming CGUK events. SUMMARY:Highland Deer Stalking on the Atholl Estate
DESCRIPTION:Deer Stalking on Atholl Estate\, Scottish Highlands\nWe’re heading to the beautiful Scottish Highlands for a few days of deer stalking\, exploring and enjoying some proper Country Girls time together! \nThis time we’ll be visiting the historic Atholl Estate\, one of Scotland’s most iconic Highland estates\, with a history dating back to the 13th century. \nCovering an incredible 80\,000 acres of moorland\, hills and glens\, the estate is home to some spectacular wildlife\, including golden eagles\, red grouse and golden plover. With its stunning scenery and long-standing sporting traditions\, it’s a pretty special place to experience a day out on the hill. \nWe’ll be heading out with the estate’s experienced stalkers\, who will guide us through the hills and share their knowledge of deer management\, conservation and traditional Highland stalking. \nWhether you’ve stalked before or this is something you’ve always wanted to try\, it’s a fantastic opportunity to experience it in one of Scotland’s most beautiful settings. \nAnd of course\, it wouldn’t be a Country Girls trip without some lovely accommodation\, good food\, a few drinks and plenty of laughs together in the evenings! \nOur Itinerary\nThursday 4th February | Arrival Day \nMake your way up to Scotland and get settled into our accommodation. We’ll spend the evening catching up over dinner and drinks\, ready for a couple of exciting days ahead! \nFriday 5th February | First Stalking Day \n\nHead out onto the estate between 8am and 9am\, with exact timings confirmed the day before.\nThe ladies stalking that day will split into two smaller groups\, each accompanied by an experienced estate stalker.\nEach participant will have the opportunity to take up to two hinds/does\, subject to conditions and the stalker’s guidance.\nThose not stalking will have the day free to explore the local area\, with plans depending on what everyone fancies doing!\nAll stalking will finish by 4pm\, giving us plenty of time to get back together for the evening.\n\nSaturday 6th February | Second Stalking Day \n\nOur second group of ladies will head out between 8am and 9am.\nAgain\, everyone will be accompanied by an experienced estate stalker\, with the opportunity to take up to two hinds/does.\nThe rest of the group can enjoy another day exploring the Highlands\, relaxing or heading off on a little adventure together.\nAll stalking will finish by 4pm.\nWe’ll all head back to the accommodation for our final evening together\, hopefully with plenty of stories to share!\n\nSunday 7th February | Breakfast & Home \nA relaxed breakfast together before packing up and heading home whenever you’re ready. \nA Proper Highland Girls’ Weekend!\nOne of the things we love most about organising these trips is bringing together women from all over the UK who share a love of the countryside\, fieldsports and making new friendships. \nYou don’t need to have been stalking before to join us. DESCRIPTION:THE COUNTRY GIRLS UK ARE HEADING BACK TO NORTHERN IRELAND!\nIt’s been six years since our last trip to Northern Ireland\, so we thought it was about time we got another one in the diary! \nThis time we’re heading to the beautiful Cleggan Lodge Estate in County Antrim\, Northern Ireland\, for a long weekend of shooting\, good food\, plenty of laughs and catching up with old friends (and hopefully making lots of new ones too!). \nSet in the North Antrim Hills\, overlooking Slemish Mountain and the Glens of Antrim\, Cleggan Lodge is a stunning historic estate dating back to 1822. It’s known for its fantastic sporting opportunities\, beautiful countryside and wonderful hospitality\, so we really couldn’t think of a better place to spend a few days together. \nWe’ve got a brilliant few days planned for you all! \nThursday | Arrival Day\nRoad trip time!! We’ll get a group chat set up beforehand to organise car sharing and travel plans so we can get as many of us travelling over together as possible. Once we’ve arrived\, it’s time to get settled in\, catch up with everyone and get ready for a brilliant few days! \nFriday | Exploring & Evening Flushes\nA relaxed morning to explore the local area of NI and enjoy the beautiful countryside before we head out for some evening flushes\, followed by a BBQ and a few drinks together. \nSaturday | Simulated Game Day\nThe main event! A full simulated game day at Cleggan Lodge\, with some fantastic sport in a truly beautiful setting. Expect plenty of shooting\, a bit of friendly competition and lots of laughs along the way! \nSunday | Breakfast & Home\nOne last breakfast together before we say our goodbyes and head home after what we’re sure will be a brilliant weekend. \nOne of our favourite things about these trips is bringing women together from all over the UK who share a love of the countryside and shooting. Some of the loveliest friendships have come from our weekends away\, and that’s exactly why we love organising them. \nWhether you’ve joined us on trips before or this would be your first Country Girls adventure\, we’d absolutely love to have you along. \nSix years since our last Irish adventure\, and we cannot wait to go back!
