Caulaincourt Gundogs is a working dog kennels and training facility in the lovely County of Norfolk run by me Julian Williams and my family.

I have been involved with all different types of field sports since a young age, but over 15 years ago I competed in my first retriever working test and won, after that I was hooked.

Based in Norfolk which is a beautiful and diverse County renowned for it’s classic traditional English game shoots. Opportunities for anyone with an interest in field sports and working dogs are plentiful.

I feel privileged to be involved with such a fantastic sport and have met some wonderful people along the way.

Our aim is to produce fully health tested working retrievers and spaniels with style, drive, quality and game finding ability.

This day will be split into two Groups – please book on to the Group that would best suit you and your dog.

Group 1 = Complete Beginner level: intro to retrieving, steadiness and whistle work.

Group 2= Novice level: would need to have a good recall and a the will to retrieve) we would look at different type of retrieving, stop whistle and hunting. This would be out on sugarbeet, stubble or our Snipe big, dependent on what is available at the time.

The itinerary for the day;

9.30am breakfast

10.00am to 11.30am training

Break for tea and coffee

12.00pm to 13.30pm training

Lunch.
