Dovey Valley Shooting Ground is set in its own wooded valley in Central Wales, featuring a large sporting layout with over 100 different variations offering targets to suit everyone from a complete beginner to the most experienced shooter. As well as Sporting they have Automatic Ball Trap, Skeet and Down The Line trap shooting available. Complete beginners are particularly welcome and will receive first-class tuition plus all the equipment necessary.
You will be split into groups of 4 based on experience levels and the tuition session will be catered to you. The aim of this day is to get you feeling confident in your shooting ability, learning the safety aspects of shooting, smashing some clays and to introduce you to a fantastic group of like-minded women.
9:30 – Arrival, tea, coffee and bacon rolls
9:45 – Safety briefing from head instructor, separate into instructor groups
10:00 – Shoot the first 25 cartridges with instruction
11:30 – Congregate back to the clubhouse for a quick break, tea/coffee and biscuits
12:00 – Shoot another 25 cartridges with the instruction
13:00 – Lunch
14:00 – 50-bird flush competition
15:30 – Prize giving with refreshments to conclude the day
Cartridges are included throughout this day at no extra cost.
If ladies wish to bring their own guns, cartridges will be provided for 12 and 20-bore but no other.
Gun hire is included throughout this day at no extra cost
If ladies wish to bring their own guns they can do so.
All areas can be walked around the shoot so socially distanced rules can be followed.
Smart/ casual but most importantly practical and comfortable, depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
