Situated in Lower Wensleydale to the west of the Vale of York, E.J. Churchill at The Swinton Estate enjoys some of the most picturesque countryside in North Yorkshire, with its narrow, secluded tree lined valley, winding beck and wildflowers. Guests arrive to the shoot lodge and tea and coffee is served. Guest will be divided into teams, with each team being looked after by one of our professional instructors. With extensive shooting layouts we can challenge the expert and our instructors can help you iron out those niggles! Experienced guns will have around 125 clays each throughout the day, this day will be aimed at tackling the more challenging traps.
09.30 Arrive at the shooting ground, whereby tea/coffee and breakfast is served.
09.55 Guests are briefed on the day’s events and introduced to their instructors.
10.00 Shooting commences with initial practice and tuition.
11.00 Guests return to the lodge for a short break whereby cake is served
11.30 Shooting continues with further practice.
12.30 Guests return to the lodge for a light lunch
13.30 Shooting continues with an individual competition
14.30 Guests Shoot a flurry
15.00 Guests return to the lodge for tea/coffee and prize giving.
Depart at leisure.
No plastic wad on any of our CGUK shoots please. If you do not have access to cartridges that isn’t a problem at all.
Cartridges can be provided for you by our team, please make sure you let us know beforehand as this will be an additional cost.
Gun hire is included throughout this day at no extra cost
All areas can be walked to around the shoot so socially distanced rules can be followed throughout.
The day includes full hospitality, with breakfast to start the day, light lunch during sessions and cake on departure
