Harboro Rocks Simulated Game Days have been in business since 2014 offering challenging, exciting and realistic drives. All the fun none of the feathers! Good food and drink throughout the day with like-minded people helps make the friendly atmosphere and shooting tales flow in our modest shoot cabin. There will be at least 1200 targets per drive. You will need approximately 100 cartridges for every drive! Obviously dependent upon how fast you shoot and your confidence level. This day is for license holders only.
The day consists of five main drives.
Pigeon – this drive is a gentle drive in order to settle everyone in.
Partridge – this drive is fast-driven birds with the odd crossing target. Oscillating base plates on the traps ensures a good spread of birds over the guns.
Pheasant – this drive is a favourite of visitors to Harboro Rocks. The topography is perfect for presenting high pheasant down over the field below. These birds can be very testing A good drive to practice ready for the next season.
Duck – new for 2023 these targets will accurately represent flighting duck such as Mallard, Teal and Wigeon.
Grouse – Shooting from real Grouse Butts low, fast, driven and quartering birds ideal to sharpen your skills before The Glorious 12th on the grouse moors.
Our aim at Harboro Rocks shoot is to give all of our clients a day to remember at a very reasonable price. Timings are approximate: We will shoot through with extended late-morning drinks and snacks and have a late lunch at the end of the day.
09.00 Arrive to tea/coffee/fruit juice and full english breakfast
10.00 Safety briefing and move to first drive
First Drive – Pigeon Second Drive – Partridge Extended
Mid day break (Gin & tonic, sloe gin, soft drinks and water) served with snacks
12.30 Third Drive – Pheasant
13.30 Fourth drive – Grouse
14.30 Fifth drive – Pheasant 2
15:30 approx – A three-course late lunch will be served at the end of shooting
No plastic wad on any of our CGUK shoots, please.
If you do not have access to cartridges that isn’t a problem at all. Cartridges can be provided for you by our team, please make sure you let us know beforehand as this will be an additional cost.
Is available but please let us know on booking if this is required as it may be an additional charge.
4x4s are required however, this can be organised within the group chat before the event.
You will be well looked after, with elevenses set in the most idyllic scenery. Lunch consists of a hearty meal, with a pudding of course!
Smart/ casual but most importantly, comfortable and practical. Depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
