Hunstanton Hall, Old Hunstanton, Norfolk, England is a country house dating originally from the 15th century. The gatehouse, now detached from the main building, is dated 1487. The wings were built in the seventeenth century and there are Victorian additions. The house was the ancestral home of the L’Estrange family, resident from the time of Domesday until after World War II. During the early 20th century, P. G. Wodehouse, a friend of Charles Le Strange, was a frequent visitor and the hall features in his novel Money for Nothing (1928) and his collection of short stories Very Good, Jeeves (1930). The hall has also been suggested as a model for Blandings Castle. The building suffered two major fires, in 1853 and 1947. In 1948, the hall was sold and converted into apartments. Hunstanton Hall is a Grade I listed building.
At Le Strange Shoot, we are blessed with over 4000 acres of arable and park land which enables us to offer the best in both partridge and pheasant days. Close to the North Norfolk coast it really is a stunning location.
Clays driven at Le Strange give an authentic feel to the real game shoot day experience. We simulate authentic grouse, partridge and pheasant drives.
First-class shooting hospitality at either the shoot lodge or the outdoor octagon hosting a variety of food options and BBQ’s which offers a perfect chance to catch up with friends and fellow guns.

For those looking to stay over, accommodation is a popular option on our shoots and can be arranged in the group chat before the event. Your host will help find the perfect Airbnb, making it a great opportunity to relax, get to know each other, and enjoy a meal together the night before. Local ladies are also welcome to join us for the evening meal if they fancy making a night of it! It’s the perfect way to experience a CGUK Sim Day—turning it into a full weekend of fun!
No plastic wads are permitted on any CGUK shoots. If you don’t have access to suitable cartridges, don’t worry—our team can provide them for you at an additional cost. Please let us know in advance if you need any.
Gun hire is available throughout the day for an additional cost.
4x4s are required for this shoot. Car sharing can be arranged in the group chat before the day.
Smart-casual, with weather considerations. Final decisions can be discussed in the group chat before the event.
Please note: A cap, ear protection, and eye protection MUST be worn at all times while on the peg during a Simulated Game Day.
