DESCRIPTION:About\nSet within the stunning parkland of Oakedge Park on the historic Wolseley Park Estate in Staffordshire\, this pheasant shoot offers a truly memorable day in the heart of the English countryside. \nThe Estate was held by the Wolseley family from the 11th Century\, when Edric de Wolseley lived there\, it was granted to the family as a reward for killing the wolves which\, by attacking the deer\, were detrimental to the Kings hunting in the county. \nSurrounded by rolling valleys\, mature woodland\, and beautifully maintained grounds\, the shoot benefits from natural topography that creates a variety of challenging and sporting drives. High pheasants\, testing crossers\, and fast\, curling birds are presented to the line\, offering excitement and variety for both experienced Guns and those newer to the sport. \nThe estate’s setting on the edge of Cannock Chase provides a picturesque and private environment\, where attention to detail and a warm welcome are at the forefront of the day. Drives are carefully designed to replicate traditional game shooting\, making full use of the landscape to produce birds that are both sporting and rewarding. \nA typical day begins with a warm reception and refreshments\, followed by a safety briefing and the drawing of pegs before heading out into the field.
