In the stunning grounds of County Clays is where the annual charity shoot for the Royal Marines is held. The charity embraces and embodies the corps’ family; regular and reserve royal marines past and present, as well as their dependants. The membership grows continually to include all elements of Royal marines. It is free to join and is open to associates and supporters who wish to join. On the Friday, each group of 3 Country girls will be joined by a fourth gun Royal Marine; regular, reserve, recovering or retired as a ‘Wild Card’. On the Saturday, it shall be 4 groups of Country Girls only with no wild card. We attended both days last year and won the ladies trophy on the Friday which was presented at the auction dinner and then missed out by 1 clay on the Saturday, so this year lets smash both days!
