Joe’s passion for gundog training was instilled by his legendary grandfather, Edward Martin, who trained the first Sealpin FTCh in 1978. Since then, Joe has built an impressive career, winning trials with four different dogs, representing Scotland in the Gundog Team five times, and serving as the main gundog demonstrator at The Scottish Game Fair and The Royal Highland Show. With years of experience coaching novice handlers, Joe creates a structured yet relaxed learning environment, ensuring that both handlers and their dogs develop confidence and essential skills.
This hands-on training day is perfect for beginners and novice handlers, featuring a range of exercises designed to build trust, refine techniques, and strengthen the working relationship between you and your dog. The day culminates in a friendly competition, offering a fun way to put the morning’s training into practice.
