With over 20 years of experience working and training dogs, Severncrest Gundogs offers a fun, friendly, and supportive environment where all breeds and ages are welcome. Based in Gloucestershire, I am fortunate to train my dogs daily and work them throughout the shooting season, gaining hands-on experience in real working conditions.
I regularly run training workshops and group lessons, helping handlers build confidence, refine skills, and develop strong partnerships with their dogs. I’m also extremely competitive and love putting my dogs to the test in working tests and competitions.
At Severncrest Gundogs, we believe that every handler, regardless of their dog’s age or breed, should have access to safe, structured training events. These workshops are designed to help you develop your skills, meet like-minded people, and most of all—have fun!

This working test preparation workshop is designed to help handlers and their dogs get a feel for a real working test, covering key elements such as:
Rules & etiquette – What to expect on the day
Test scenarios – Simulating exercises found in working tests
Building confidence – Helping both dog and handler prepare for competition
While the test scenarios will be primarily Retriever-based, all breeds are welcome to join and take part.
