About
Our Christmas half-day is based at Barbury Shooting School. The day starts with Bacon Rolls and Coffee in the Clubhouse, before being put in groups and heading out onto the ground to shoot a variety of Flushes & Flurries. This will be a fun, chilled morning. Christmas jumpers are highly recommended! This day is perfect for experienced shooters but also perfect for those looking to step up to sim days next year! (you’ll be shooting around 150-200 cartridges) Guns and safety equipment can be provided. There is an optional Christmas lunch at a local pub after shooting.
This is also a great chance to meet Kirsten Smith, our Regional Ambassador for the South, and chat about exciting upcoming CGUK events. Whether you’re a seasoned member or brand new, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with other like-minded women in a cozy, creative setting.
Itinerary
09:30am – Guests arrive for Bacon Rolls & Coffee in The Clubhouse
10:00am – Split into groups and head out to shoot Flushes
11:15am – Elevenses break back at The Clubhouse
11:45am – Back out for more Flushes
12.30pm – Prize Giving & Depart
1pm – Head to lunch for Christmas meal (not included in price, to be discussed in the WhatsApp group on how to book your space for lunch)
Coming on your own? You Won’t Be the Only One!
No worries at all, many of our ladies attend solo, and they always leave with new friends. We’re a warm, welcoming group, so think of us as friends you just haven’t met yet. 💫
WhatsApp Group Chat
We’ll set up a WhatsApp group before the event so you can start connecting with the other attendees. It’s a great space to introduce yourself, chat about the event, organise where to meet, and even plan a post-event meal if you fancy it!
Dress Code
Smart casual is perfect and if you’re feeling festive, Christmas jumpers are totally welcome (but optional!). The final decision on outfit vibes can be agreed in the group chat closer to the day.
