I was excited to receive my first invitation of the season, to be greeted by a cloud of tweedy dust and moth holes resembling what were my old faithful breeks. It was at that moment I remembered they were put away with dog slobber, blood, and other detritus from the season still clutched to them. This was a lesson I won’t forget in a hurry – always clean your clothing before storing it away in a dry, clean, dark area, preferably a spare sealed bag.

Finding a suitable replacement pair was not a hard task for me, being able to pop into the warehouse and pull a pair from our stock, which I have had my eye on for a while – but I dare say you ladies are not in a position to simply pop to your local shooting shop and grab a pair.

I know first-hand how difficult it is to undertake extensive research on a piece of clothing, to finally find the perfect item that ticks all the boxes and then be disheartened to find the sizing more confusing than if Ross and Rachel were really on a break or not.

I’ve done all the leg work for you, so all you have to decide is belt or buttons, two or four pockets, tweed or traditional…..
