Abbey sporting covers 5000 acres in the heart of North Yorkshire. The estate itself includes the spectacular Rievaulx abbey ruins, hundreds of years of English heritage, where guests will start the day with breakfast. During the game season, Abbey sporting’s stunning valleys and lakes offer some of the finest driven partridge, pheasant and duck shooting to be found anywhere in the world. During the summer months, they are able to offer this incredibly unique experience replicating the closest experience to the real thing for a fraction of the price. This day will replicate the exact layout of one of their game days. The only difference being the targets are replaced for clays.
Pegs are split based on experience levels and shotgun gauges to optimise safety. Each drive is repeated twice so both partners have the opportunity to shoot and load, this maximises shooting and enhances everyone’s experience.
No plastic wad on any of our CGUK shoots please.
If you do not have access to cartridges that isn’t a problem at all. Cartridges can be provided for you by our team, please make sure you let us know beforehand as this will be an additional cost.

This day includes full Michelin star hospitality! Morning drinks and breakfast will be served at the stunning Rievaulx abbey, after the mornings first drive the guns will then meet for a well thought out elevenses. A light lunch platter will be supplied around 2 pm by The Star Inn Harome whom will also conclude the day around 3:30/4pm with a Michelin star dinner for all guns.

Smart/ casual, we like to promote the traditional shooting attire on our days however tweed is not essential. Depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
