The shoot runs over a 1000-acre estate in Ongar, North Essex, with excellent topography for the area. Our guests can expect to see around 5000 clays in the air throughout the day. The first drive will be selected to ease the guns into the shooting, second drive will test a different aspect of shooting to keep the guns on their toes. Third and fourth drive will provide a variety of excellent simulated birds with the final drive being the most challenging. Ongar ground has our special 75 foot 360 tower which produces some of the highest driven clays in East Anglia
Arrival at 9am for tea/coffee, bacon rolls, and other snacks.
We start with two drives of simulated game, usually a pheasant and a partridge drive.
Elevenses is after the first two drives with plenty of food and drink.
Following this there will be 3 more drives, including a grouse drive and the use of our 360 tower for some high pheasants.
After this we will deliver everyone in the gun bus to the local pub (on the edge of the estate) for a meal afterwards. Once the meal is finished, everyone gets back on the gun bus to go back to the meeting point.
All shoot days include the use of our brand new luxury gun bus, and we offer collection from Epping tube station which is a 10 minute drive away.
The day is run by a team of three young and enthusiastic people who have a love for shooting and are keen to make sure everybody is having the best time possible.
Each gun will shoot between 250-500 cartridges.
