Lechlade fishery is located in the beautiful Cotswold countryside 5 minutes outside Lechlade on the A361 to Burford. Lechlade is small market tow on the River Thames in Gloucestershire at the southern edge of the Cotswolds. It gets its name from the river Leach which joins the Thames nearby. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, it is still within easy access of Swindon, Cirencester, Cheltenham, Burford, Oxford and only an hour away from London, Birmingham and Bristol.
We will have our favourite angler Marina Gibson guiding us through the day, Marina is a passionate angler who has spent much of her childhood chasing salmon, trout and sea trout and has dedicated her life to fishing.
Marina who founded the northern fishing school in 2019 wants to introduce as many people as possible to the magic of fishing – whatever their age – as the fun, affordable, perfect antidote to stress and the best way to escape the daily grind.
Marina’s new book “Cast Catch Release” described as a love letter to the water and what it means to find peace and purpose in the great outdoors is available for preorder now.

10am – Welcome, Greetings and Introduction
10.30am – 1.30pm – Casting Clinic, knots, how to hook, play and land a fish, and how to handle your catch.
1.30pm – 2.30pm – Lunch
2.30pm – 6.00pm – Fishing to put your new found skills to the test!
