Hay lane Farm is set on a working farm in the heart of the Cotswolds consisting of a thrilling mix between steep banks and wooded hills across its glorious 300 acres. This stunning Cotswold beef farm is also home to a high bird syndicate during the game season and prides itself in its incredible shooting. A simulated day at Hay Lane Farm features a wide range of drives using the incredible natural topography of the land to its greatest advantage making this shoot day one to remember. This day is open to members of the country girls that would like to bring a family member along in the form of, partners, mothers, fathers or siblings.
9.00 – Meet at The King’s Arms, Didmarton for bacon rolls and coffee before a safety briefing and the all-important drawing of pegs!
10:00 – Depart for Hay Lane Farm, just a short drive from The King’s Arms.
10.30 – First drive, Fishponds Bank. A gentle partridge drive to ease you into the day’s shooting.
11:00 – A short drinks break after the first drive before moving on to the second drive of the day.
11:30 – Second drive, Poplars. A High bank showing a high volume of mixed partridge and pheasant.
12:00 – Time for elevenses. A selection of soft drinks will be available along with light snacks.
12:30 – Third drive, Kenny’s Stones. A high pheasant drive set in open fields.
13:00 – Move off for a final drive.
13:30 – Fourth drive, Masons Tip. An extreme high pheasant drive where birds are driven from a high-sided valley over the awaiting guns.
14:00 – Return to The King’s Arms for two-course lunch.
No plastic wad on any of our CGUK shoots please. If you do not have access to cartridges that isn’t a problem at all. Cartridges can be provided for you by our team, please make sure you let us know beforehand as this will be an additional cost.

This day includes full hospitality; Bacon rolls and coffee on arrival for breakfast, elevenses including refreshments and snacks followed by a two-course lunch at The Kings Arms in Didmarton. (Subject to change due to COVID).
Smart/casual, we like to promote the traditional shooting attire on our days however tweed is not essential. Depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
