North Cave is a large farm shoot on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, shooting 4 or 5 drives depending on how the day goes, with duck flushed from a variety of ponds and splashings across the shoot. A fantastic range of sporting birds, with high birds to test the best of guns, but will be birds for all abilities. The quarry is predominantly mallard, but there are populations of wild teal, geese and widgeon on the estate. This local shoot offers full hospitality including Tea & coffee, elevenses and lunch which will be had out in the field. Typically, elevenses consists of breads and canapes with Lunch including a selection of cold meats/ sandwiches/ cakes and venison burgers.

9:00 meet at pub and head to shoot in convoy
9:15 gear up, teas and coffees, peg draw and safety brief
9:30/10:00 Head out for first drive and second drive
11:30 elevenses
12:00 third drive
13:00 Lunch at the yard
14:00 head out for 4th and/or 5th drive depending on how day has gone.
There are no overages on this day.
No plastic wad on any of our CGUK shoots, please.
If you do not have access to cartridges that isn’t a problem at all.
Cartridges can be provided for you by our team.
All empty cartridges on the day will be recycled and collected for artistic use.

Meeting at local pub and convoy to the shoot. Ideally 4x4s.
We like to promote the traditional shooting attire on our game days however tweed is not essential. Depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
