In the stunning grounds of County Clays is where the annual charity shoot for the Royal Marines is held. The charity embraces and embodies the corps’ family; regular and reserve royal marines past and present, as well as their dependants. The membership grows continually to include all elements of Royal marines. It is free to join and is open to associates and supporters who wish to join. On the Friday, each group of 3 Country girls will be joined by a fourth gun Royal Marine; regular, reserve, recovering or retired as a ‘Wild Card’. On the Saturday, it shall be 4 groups of Country Girls only with no wild card. We attended on the Saturday last year and so wished we had been able to attend on the Friday as the dinner sounded amazing but sadly the tickets were so popular they were gone within hours, so this year lets smash both days!
