A fabulous break away in the Scottish highlands for a fun filled weekend. During your stay there is access to sauna, hot tub and a games room in the accommodation. The accommodation is situated right in the middle of the 2 locations in the Cairngorms where we shall be doing activities over the weekend. The accommodation is self-catering so we can enjoy cooking our own meals as and when, or go out to the village where there is a wide selection with restaurants to suit all.
Arrive to accommodation on Friday 2nd September
Saturday 3rd September – The team of Instructors at Rothiemurchus will welcome you to join them for a morning of tuition where you will be introduced to clay shooting or if you’ve had a go before, learn to improve your skills. They will guide you through all aspects of clay shooting from breaking targets, gun fit and most importantly gun safety. All guns, cartridges, clays and safety equipment are provided.
Tuition is tailored to each individual, providing a bespoke experience building on the skills you already have or didn’t know you had! Over the course of two hours, you will be taught how to break a variety of target presentations. Targets will be flying away, crossing in front, driven overhead and of course there’s the bolting rabbit! You will be taught how to break single targets and some pairs if you are up for the challenge!
If you’ve already had some experience or have your own shotgun, then Rothie can work on improving your skillset and take your shooting to the next level. So whether your goal is to shoot live game, simulated game or become a competitive clay shooter, they can work with you to provide the technique, support and confidence to get you on your way.

Sunday 4th September – Stroll along to Craggan activities where we shall be meeting at 10.30am for archery lessons until 12.30pm when we shall stop for soup & burgers. At 1.30pm we shall be doing some high rope activities which will finish after a couple of hours. Then back to the accommodation to make the most of the facilities & reminisce over the fun packed weekend.
Monday 5th September – After a fun filled weekend it’s time to depart before 10am.
