South Ayrshire Stalking is located amidst the rolling Carrick Hill on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park, formed around 20 years ago out ethos is to provide ethical and sustainable deer management and training for stalkers of all abilities. You will be accommodated at Garryloop where we pride ourselves on self-sustainability. Over the 2 days we will take you through the theory of stalking and deer management, spend time on the range where will familiarise you with the safe use of deer legal rifles, develop marksmanship and get you shooting the rifle competently. The following day we will get you into the field stalking, where hopefully you will see and stalk deer in the forests of South Ayrshire. There are no culling fees attached to this day, everything is included in the price.
Day one (Friday 1st April) – arrive in the afternoon at Garryloop B&B. Range and firearms training with familiarisation of the rifle, followed by a briefing on stalking & deer ecology.
Day two (Saturday 2nd April) – Morning stalk outing (in pairs), back for breakfast and relax with an evening stalk.
Day three (Sunday 3rd April) – Breakfast & depart after a weekend of new experiences.
