The day is set in the beautiful rolling hills of Rutland, this gives us the opportunity to show some great clays from high birds to partridge flicking over high hedges. The day provides a real experience for the well-seasoned gun and a great learning opportunity for new guns. I run the days shooting as close to the real thing as possible. The day is based at Bisbrooke Hall, the hosts family home for 8 generations.
The team meet at the front of the house arriving around 9:00/15, for breakfast which consists of bacon roles tea and coffee. (Covid regulations allowing)
This is a great time before we all move off for everyone to get relaxed and meet each other if they haven’t so already.
After breakfast there is a safety talk to explain the format for the day and answer any questions.
We leave the house for the morning in our own vehicles and don’t return till lunch around 14:00.
The morning is broken up with four drives, we stop for a break after the second drive.
Elevenses consists of yummy snacks and sloegasms, a mixture of sloe gin and fizzy wine, beer and soft drinks are also provided.
After a well-earned break we have two more drives to follow
Lunch is served in the rose garden if the weather allows.
The day is usually finished around 16:00 when everyone has been fed and watered.
No plastic wad on any of our CGUK shoots please. If you do not have access to cartridges that isn’t a problem at all.
Cartridges can be provided for you by our team, please make sure you let us know beforehand as this will be an additional cost.
Gun hire is included throughout this day at no extra cost
All areas can be walked to around the shoot so socially distanced rules can be followed throughout.
Smart/ casual, depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
