About

The Winscombe Shoot is now well underway in its 5th season. Based in the picturesque rolling hills of West Dorset, The Winscombe Shoot offers shooting for all levels. The Shoot is split amongst 6 unique Beats covering 2500 acres, offering a 100 bird day, a mix of Mallard, Partridge and Pheasants which have all been Hatched and Reared on the shoot.

Itinerary

Meet at our Shoot Lodge for 10 am. Coffee and breakfast pastries are available upon arrival.
Move off to the first drive at 10:30 ish
Shoot 1-2 drives followed by 11’s in the field.
We will then shoot 1-2 more drives following 11s before returning to the shoot lodge for Lunch at around 13.00.
After lunch, we will head out again for another 1-2 drives before heading back to the lodge for Tea/Coffee and Cake.
Depending on the day and preference of the team, we may opt to shoot through with lunch at the end of the day.

Cartridges

No plastic wad on any of our CGUK shoots, please.

If you do not have access to cartridges that isn’t a problem at all.

Cartridges can be provided for you by our team.

All empty cartridges on the day will be recycled and collected for artistic use.

Gun hire

Is available but please let us know on booking if this is required as it may be an additional charge.

Transport

Gun bus provided by the shoot for all ladies.

Dress code

We like to promote the traditional shooting attire on our game days however tweed is not essential. Depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
