About the Experience
You’ll spend one day salmon fishing on the legendary River Tweed, one of the UK’s most historic and productive Atlantic salmon rivers. Flowing along the Scotland–England border, the Tweed is famous for its beautiful scenery, rich heritage and exceptional sport. With expert river guides by your side, you’ll have the chance to fish a truly special beat.
Your second day is all about the Tweed Salmon Festival in Kelso. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly celebration of everything fishing, with demonstrations from international experts, hands-on casting sessions, fly-tying workshops and plenty of activities for both beginners and experienced anglers.
This trip also includes two luxurious nights across two cottages on the Schloss Roxburghe Estate, a beautiful countryside retreat just outside Kelso. The estate mixes historic charm with modern comfort, with spacious rooms, cosy lounges, great food and peaceful Borders views. You can relax in the spa (not included in the room rate), warm up by the fire or make the most of the estate’s outdoor activities. It’s the perfect base for a weekend of fishing, fresh air and good company.
