A Water retrieve training day for all levels to help handlers and dogs gain confidence working around water.
A training day tailored around water to help handlers and dogs gain confidence and knowledge when working in water with Matt Wilson of Westmorland Gundogs. Matt has been training professionally for over 10 years, Matt also trials his own dogs as well as dogs for other people. During the season Matt is picking up on both pheasant shoots and grouse moors in Cumbria and Scotland with his team of dogs as well as clients and their dogs. Matts Training ground is situated alongside the beautiful Lake Windermere, with the option to swim the dogs in the lake.
During this day Matt will cover all aspects of water work including casting, retrieves and reading your dog and most importantly steadiness around water.
Basic requirements from this day are that your dog has a good recall, is comfortable around water, happy picking dummies and Comfortable with gunshot.
