There has been clay ground at this site since 1975, from the early days of the oil industry in Aberdeen. Originally called “The Golden Rock” gun club, with two hand-operated traps and an offshore supplied steel container for a clubhouse, Seal’s Cove Shooting Ground has grown into a fully automated fifty-plus trap layout. The site has a fully mature woodland setting which provides excellent shelter from the wild north sea and we can shoot pretty much fifty-two weeks of the year. A unique cliff-top location five miles from Aberdeen city center. The clay ground has a variety of testing targets both for experienced shots and beginners alike, there are CPSA level one accredited instructors to provide tuition and as a commercial shooting ground, it is open to anyone. We have a Norwegian-sourced log cabin which we use as our clubhouse & we opened a new purpose-built gun shop on site in 2015, we stock a large range of clay & game guns new and pre-owned. The ground main dealers for Browning, Miroku Beretta, and Chapuis guns.
