Stewarton Polo club is one of only a small number of polo clubs in Scotland and is ideally located on the edge of Dundas Estate in South Queensferry, overlooking the forth bridges. The club is easily reached by road, rail and bus. The half day will consist of an introductory talk and overview of the rules of polo. Ladies will then take to the indoor arena for a rules lesson and demonstration of types of shots, putting this into practice using foot mallets. From there, the session will move to the outdoor arena where ladies will meet their polo ponies and practice hitting the ball from the pony. After some instruction, the final session of the morning will see the ladies split into teams and put everything learnt into practise in some chukkas. It is proposed the ladies have lunch at a close by venue, this is not included in the price. There are a number of options within a short drive of the polo ground. This can be discussed in the event whatsapp group prior to the event. Following lunch, the ladies are welcome back to the club to watch the club chukkas at 2pm.
