The award-winning Westlands Country Park nestles among 100 acres of tranquil woodland in the beautiful county of Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. Alongside our World class facilities, sits Scotland’s premier shooting ground including a 140ft High Tower, 19 Sporting Stands, DTL & Skeet Disciplines, Compak & Flush. Our dedicated team of instructors are qualified APSI and SCTA and are amongst the most experienced in the country. We offer instruction for novice through to experienced game and clays shooters. Our team take pride in making sure all participants have memorable and fun day whilst also getting a first-class instruction.
09.30 – Welcome breakfast, tea & coffee, bacon rolls and a briefing
10.00 – Split off into 4 groups of 4 with one qualified shooting instructor per group. One hour of clay shooting with full instruction.
11.00 – Elevenses refreshment break
11.30 – One hours clay shooting with full instruction
12.30 – Two course lunch in the clubhouse
1.30 – One hour of clay shooting finishing with a simulated flush/small competition.
3.30 – Refreshments and prize giving.
Cartridges are included throughout this day at no extra cost.
If ladies wish to bring their own guns, cartridges will be provided for 12 and 20-bore but no other.
Gun hire is included throughout this day at no extra cost
If ladies wish to bring their own guns they can do so.
All areas can be walked around the shoot so socially distanced rules can be followed.
Smart/ casual but most importantly practical and comfortable, depending on the weather this can be decided in the group chat before the event.
